For those of you who don't keep up with my rambling education I have left information technology for manufacturing and have earned my CPIM (Certified Production Inventory Management) and will have earned my CSCP Certified Supply Chain Professional by March (if I pass the test) . Well I have decided that supply chains are evil. They make business sense and they are the why behind Walmart but they reduce the resposibility to bits and pieces up and down the "chain" the result being that when your water heater breaks you end up speaking to someone in India who has to be laughing at the crazy white american lady who wants hot water cause his family carrys what they can form a communal pump.... oh and I can go on... about how the lead paint in our kid's toys came from a culture clash where we are so arrogant we didn't think to ask and they are so poor that who would think about kids toys anyway.... what a very weird world we live in....
